The Psalmist Studio is seeking a talented and passionate Music Producer & Studio Recording Engineer to join our growing creative team. We are looking for an individual with strong technical skills, musical creativity, and a commitment to producing high-quality audio content.
The successful candidate will work with artists, choirs, churches, schools, and organizations to produce exceptional music projects from recording to final mastering.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce professional music recordings from concept to completion.
- Operate studio recording equipment and Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs).
- Record, edit, mix, and master audio projects.
- Create and arrange instrumental accompaniments.
- Guide artists during recording sessions.
- Collaborate with choir trainers and musicians during rehearsals and productions.
- Maintain studio equipment and ensure a professional recording environment.
- Deliver projects within agreed timelines while maintaining high production standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Music Production, Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in music production and studio recording.
- Proficiency in DAWs such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Ableton Live, or Studio One.
- Strong understanding of audio mixing and mastering techniques.
- Musical knowledge and excellent listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- A portfolio of previous productions will be an added advantage.
