We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Furniture Carpenter to join our growing workshop. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in furniture production, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to interpret furniture designs and produce high-quality finished products. You will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, installing, and finishing custom and standard furniture while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials.
- Read and interpret furniture drawings and specifications.
- Manufacture custom and standard furniture to required quality standards.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely.
- Perform sanding, finishing, and furniture fitting.
- Install completed furniture where required.
- Inspect finished products for quality before delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
- Minimize material wastage and report stock requirements.
- Collaborate with designers, supervisors, and other workshop staff.
